I worked at the Festival d'été one year, and you see some gems there.
At the end of the show, a bunch of kids, a little drunk, come up to leave the site. The biggest show-off of the group announces that he is going to jump the chain.
We, the six security guys, already know what is going to happen. The chain is about 15 centimetres off the ground.
He takes a run-up. We stop moving to watch him. The first foot clears it. The second one catches in the chain.
He lands flat on his face.
All of us, together, burst out laughing. Doubled over. We cannot stop.
The kids are completely intimidated. They look at the ground and leave the site.
Every year, there is one.
