Terms of use
This is a translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.
In effect on October 2, 2026.
By using agentdesecuritequebec.com (the "site"), you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. The service
The site offers information on the security guard trade in Quebec and a matching platform: guards create an anonymous profile on it, and verified security agencies publish posts and send offers to guards on it.
The site is neither an employer nor a placement agency. It does not take part in hiring, does not negotiate working conditions and is not a party to the agreements made between an agency and a guard. The site is independent: it is not tied to the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP), to the Comité paritaire des agents de sécurité, or to any agency or school.
2. Accounts
- You log in through a link sent to your email. You are responsible for access to your email inbox.
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- Only one account per person or per agency.
3. Guards
- You declare your licences, training and availability yourself, and you are responsible for their accuracy.
- Being registered does not guarantee any job.
- You remain free to accept or refuse any offer. Your contact information is sent only to the agencies you accept.
4. Agencies
- Only agencies that hold a valid BSP agency licence can use the agency area. The licence is checked in the BSP's public register before activation, and again if the name or the licence number changes. The listing and hiring are then suspended until the verification, which can take up to a week.
- The posts published must be real and comply with the applicable laws, in particular the Decree respecting security guards and the Act respecting labour standards.
- The contact information received from a guard is used only to communicate with that guard about the accepted offer. It is forbidden to resell it, to share it or to use it for other purposes.
- It is up to the agency to check the guard's licence in the BSP's public register before hiring.
- A limit on the number of offers sent per day applies to prevent abuse.
5. Agency subscription
- The listing, the locations, the posts and the viewing of guard profiles are free for verified agencies.
- Sending offers to guards, and receiving the contact information of those who accept, require a subscription of $49 a month, payable online through Stripe and renewed automatically every month.
- The subscription is activated after the payment is received, and the agency is notified by email.
- It can be cancelled at any time. Access remains active until the end of the paid month. The month already started is not refunded.
- The site does not guarantee that a guard will accept the offers sent.
6. Prohibited uses
- Creating a false profile, impersonating a person or an agency, or providing false information.
- Sending fictitious, misleading or discriminatory offers.
- Harassing a user or using their contact information without their consent.
- Attempting to get around the site's security, to extract its data by automated means or to disrupt its operation.
7. Reports, freezing and suspension
Agencies can report a profile. We can freeze an account for the time needed to check a report, and suspend or delete any account that does not comply with these terms.
8. Information and liability
- The information on training, the licence and pay is provided for information purposes, from the official sources cited. It can change: always check with those sources.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of the information declared by guards and agencies, or the outcome of the exchanges between them.
- To the extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for damages arising from the use of the service or from the relations between guards and agencies.
- The service can be interrupted temporarily for maintenance or because of a supplier's outage.
9. Personal information
The collection and use of your information are described in our privacy policy.
10. Changes and governing law
We can change these terms. The effective date is then updated at the top of the page. These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there.
